As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the IEEE ITSC 2020 General Chair together with the IEEE ITS Society have jointly decided to hold the entire 23rd IEEE ITSC 2020 conference as a fully online conference, at the same dates as planned (20-23 September 2020). This decision has been taken, as it is strongly believed that this is the safest and lowest-risk choice for all participants. All regular sessions, special sessions, workshops, keynotes, ceremonies and side events (including training seminars as well as social events) will be held online, both in real-time as well as on-demand, to accommodate the different time zones of all participants. The IEEE ITSC 2020 committee is already planning accordingly, to ensure an interactive and engaging online event. Publications are not affected by the new online conference format, as all accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore.

The 2020 annual flagship conference of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS) will be held in Rhodes, Greece, on 20-23 September 2020. The International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC) welcomes papers and presentations in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems, dealing with new developments in theory, analysis, simulation and modeling, experimentation, demonstration, case studies, field operational tests, and deployments. ITSC 2020 particularly invites and encourages prospective authors to share their work, findings, perspectives and developments as related to implementation and deployment of advanced ITS applications.

Authors are invited to submit papers that fall into the area of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Intelligent vehicles
  • Autonomous and cooperative systems
  • Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS)
  • Information and Communication Technologies
  • Field trials, tests, and deployment
  • Sensor technologies
  • Traffic control and management
  • Security, privacy and safety systems
  • Smart mobility
  • Products and services
  • Modelling, control and simulation algorithms and techniques
  • Air, road, rail, waterways transportation networks and systems
  • Logistics and supply chain
  • Big data and naturalistic datasets
  • Deep learning and Artificial Intelligence
  • Human factors and behavioural modelling

The paper submission deadlines have been extended to 2nd of March for Regular Papers and 12th March for Workshop Papers.

More information about the submission process can be found here.
