”Fast, reliable wireless networks are at the heart of driving change in modern Ports. As operators fight to introduce innovative, cost-saving services a bed-rock of complete wireless connectivity across the sprawling dockside areas are becoming increasingly vital. At the same time, the battle to fill this role – between private network owners and national mobile companies – between spectrum owners and unlicensed operators and vendors is heating up”.

Against this background, BWCS has announced a brand new conference for 2020 –Wireless Communications in Ports, which  will take place on October 16th in London, UK (The conference was scheduled to take place on April 1st, but due to COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, it has been postponed to October 16th). This year’s  Conference will be a hybrid event, offering the opportunity both of physical and virtual participation.

”For the first time, this conference will draw together all parties involved in this dynamic sector. It will focus on actual case studies from port owners discussing the issues they face. The Conference will hear from port companies and the problems they have encountered as they have started to implement continuous wireless network connectivity across their often complex campuses”.

COREALIS representatives are planning to attend the Port Communications Systems 2020, in order to discuss on WSNs within the Port of Livorno, with the reference to COREALIS developments.
