On Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th of December 2018, \u0399\u03a4S Hellas, the \u201cHellenic Association for the deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems\u201d organised its 4th Conference entitled: \u201cIntelligent Transport Systems in Greece: Latest developments\u201d, in the premises of the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.<\/p>\n

The event was organised under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT), the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ESEE), the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineer (HITE) and the Hellenic Institute for Logistics Management -\u0399LME and the Greek Cold Storage and Logistics Association.<\/p>\n

The main aim of the event was to discuss the broad deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) as a tool to achieve economic growth and prosperity and ensure the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of transport for the benefit of the respective industry, the end-users and the environment.<\/p>\n

Dr. Athanasia Tsertou, Senior Researcher and Smart Integrated Systems Team Leader of the I-SENSE Group of ICCS, presented the ports of the future concept as it is dealt by the COREALIS project under her presentation entitled: “Ports of the Future as part of a Multimodal Transport System: Challenges and Innovative Solutions”.<\/p>\n
